David Lawrence is the internationally renowned Conductor and Musical Director of Young Voices. On Wednesday 4th December 2019, we were very excited to have David Lawrence come into Wilson Stuart School to lead us in a big Singing Workshop. All of the Secondary Department and 6th Form were invited.
We practised lots of songs, ready for Young Voices 2020, but he particularly helped us with 2 of the songs which we will be singing in our Christmas Concert – “Ode To Joy” and “Larger Than Life”. The students particularly like these songs and I’m pleased to report that David was very impressed with the standard they had already achieved.
Both the students and the staff enjoyed a fabulous day and feel very privileged to have worked alongside such an inspirational and motivational professional.
