On Wednesday 16th October we were lucky enough to take delivery of amazing Makaton packs – one for every single student in our school!
4 Steps To A Smile, based in Walsall, was first contacted by Mary Riddle one of our PFPA members who organised this kind donation with Linda Sandhar who runs the charity.
On the day it was all hands on deck as our staff, students and PFPA all helped unload and deliver – a huge task that was undertaken with great enthusiasm by all concerned.
The Makaton packs themselves consist of a doll, books and DVDs – all to help support the teaching and use of Makaton.
We are incredibly grateful to Linda and her team and very much hope to work with them again soon.
