Students will be developing their knowledge and understanding of money through the unit Using coins and notes. Students will also continue to develop knowledge of number bonds and practice times tables.

Students are to understand how to access computers and how to keep their information safe. They will identify different IT equipment and how to use them safely.

Entry 3 Princes Trust Award
Autumn
Students will study the ‘Preparing for a Healthy Lifestyle’ Unit. They will explore healthy and unhealthy habits and consider their impact. Students will also prepare and plan a healthy meal and consider what changes they can make to their own lifestyle in order to make it healthier.
Spring
Undertaking an Enterprise Unit’. They will explore what we mean by an enterprise as well as looking at examples of enterprises. Students will also have the opportunity to apply their creative skills and will plan and set up an enterprise. They will complete market research and look at methods of promotion.
Summer
Student will continue the ‘Undertaking an Enterprise Unit’ and they will complete their own enterprise project marketing their product and presenting it at the schools garden party. Before completing the unit they will reflect on the work they have done..
The Prince’s Trust Entry Level 3 Teamwork Unit
Autumn
Students are asked to consider the importance of teamwork but discussing the advantages and disadvantages of working in a team. They are also expected to be able to identify different roles for team members whilst completing an activity. Students will also have the opportunity to take part in teamwork activities such as running a PE session for peers and helping to plan and run the Christmas Coffee Morning.
Spring
Students will work towards a teamwork activity – making and distributing Valentine’s Day chocolates (via their Life and Living Skills curriculum) and to begin to and to be able to evaluate their own performance.
Summer
Students will now focus on another teamwork activity (TBC). They will also be asked to develop their understanding of objectives and roles within a team. They will be encouraged to further explore their ability to identify what went well when working as part of a team and how a task could be improved.
Food
Students will experience the kitchen and show safe working practices. Working in groups, they will be supported in creating cold and hot drinks. Breakfasts and lunches are an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. This message will be communication and shared by learners through hosting a breakfast and offering drinks to classmates to practice and maintain life skills
