What we offer
The PDSS advises schools and settings in their compliance with the Equalities Act 2010 and their statutory duties. We will contribute to statutory SEN procedures and help schools promote inclusion and full entitlement for pupils with physical difficulties.
The team will work collaboratively with education settings to promote inclusive, positive and safe practice. We offer a range of support and training for schools around teaching, learning and access for pupils with physical difficulties.
The teachers in the PDSS team at Wilson Stuart are all practitioners with a good knowledge of the implications of a physical difficulty for children within a school and have a range of useful strategies to effectively support them.
The main thrust of our work is advisory visits and pupil observations and assessments. We aim to develop the skills of SENCO’s, teachers and support assistants through these visits and training.
We are also able to link with the expertise of the Staff at Wilson Stuart School to bring their expertise directly to schools.
