Outside In! with Tess Hills
On Thursday 9th February class 2 welcomed Tess Hills into our classroom to transform into artists for a 4 day project "Outside in!". The class worked very hard at becoming as messy as they possibly could and having a wonderful time. The children have created 2 new displays which will be based in the hall for all to enjoy and marvel at. We learnt many new skills such as using wet tissue, creating texture on canvas and using willow to build frames. We used families of colour to create large flowers on plastic board and willow. The flowers will be mounted on to our VERY large canvas back grounds which were created using rollers, prints and brushes. The project was based on our science and arts topic investigating materials and aims to create an outside feelings indoors. We thank Tess for all her hard work and creativity and invite you to look at our creation when your next in school.
Thank you
