Examination Results 2018 – Thursday 23rd August 2018

It was a delight to see so many students in the holidays and collect their results with their families. Yet again the schools examination results have improved both at Key stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Our students did incredibly well on the new GCSE specification and achieved some fantastic results allowing students to move onto the next stage of their education. Equally our students completing BTEC qualifications and Entry level qualifications all performed in line with their predicted outcomes. At Key stage 4 the vast majority of students achieved greater than what was predicted, which has made parents, families and staff incredibly proud of their achievements. At Key Stage 5, 100% of our students have moved on into further education programmes or training and all improved from their prior Key stage 4 results.

Exams can be very stressful and it should be acknowledged the hard work from all the students who often have complex conditions, support from families and the dedication of all our staff to allow students to be the best they can be. I am very proud of what the students have achieved and delighted to see results improve yet again. We all look forward to the Awards Evening on Thursday the 22nd November 2018 to celebrate their achievements were certificates and awards will be issued.

Full analysis of results is released in November 2018 once we have confirmation from all exam boards, confirmation of remarked papers and it has been ratified by the Governing body. In the meantime, the overview of examination results for academic year 17-18 can be found on this link.
