Thanks to kind donations from the Alison Hillman Charitable Trust and the Lesley and Ivy Pountney Masonic Trust of Worcestershire, organised through Nick Plotnek, father of a former student at Wilson Stuart School, twelve students will be spending five days at the fantastic Bendrigg Lodge.
Bendrigg Lodge is an outdoor bound educational centre which our year 9 students have been visiting for over 10 years. The centre is state of the art with fully adapted equipment to meet the needs of our students. It provides young people with a once in a lifetime opportunity to challenge themselves, as well as learning new skills that they can take forward with them into the future. It also gives these young people the chance to socialise and explore environments that are totally new to them.
Without the generous donations from the two Trusts, this trip would not have been able to go ahead, so Wilson Stuart School would like to say a huge thank you both to them and to Nick Plotnek for making this happen.”
